FTC Endorsements & Testimonials Disclosure

Last updated: May 31, 2026

This disclosure complies with the Federal Trade Commission's (FTC) Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 CFR Part 255).

Endorsements & Success Stories

Any endorsements, testimonials, case studies, or success stories featuring Anomaly ArtistOS™ users are:

  • Based on actual user experiences: Testimonials reflect real results from platform users.
  • Not guaranteed: Results vary based on individual effort, skill, market conditions, and timing. Success is not guaranteed for all users.
  • Clearly identified: We disclose when content is a testimonial, review, or paid endorsement.
  • Represent typical results: Featured results should represent typical user experiences, not exceptional outcomes.

Paid Endorsements & Sponsorships

If we pay artists, influencers, or other individuals to promote Anomaly ArtistOS™:

  • Clear disclosure: All paid endorsements are clearly labeled "#ad," "#sponsored," or "Advertisement."
  • Relationship disclosed: We disclose that the endorser was compensated for their endorsement.
  • Honest opinions: Endorsers must express their genuine, honest opinion about the Platform, even if negative.
  • No undisclosed payments: We never pay for endorsements without clear disclosure to consumers.

User-Generated Testimonials

When we feature user testimonials or case studies:

  • Authentic voices: Testimonials are real user quotes, not fabricated or AI-generated.
  • Representative samples: We strive to show diverse results, including mixed experiences.
  • Consent obtained: We obtain written permission from users before featuring their testimonials.
  • Context provided: We include relevant context about the user's experience (timeframe, effort level, initial conditions).
  • No cherry-picking: We don't select only exceptional cases to misrepresent typical results.

Results & Performance Claims

Any claims about results or performance improvements include:

  • "Typical results" disclosure: We state whether results are typical or exceptional.
  • Time disclaimers: We disclose the timeframe over which results were achieved (e.g., "within 6 months of consistent use").
  • Effort required: We disclose the level of effort or usage required to achieve results.
  • No guarantees: We clearly state that results are not guaranteed and may vary.

Before & After Claims

If we use before/after comparisons (e.g., growth metrics, audience size):

  • Substantiated: All before/after claims are backed by reliable evidence.
  • Representative: Results shown are typical for users with similar starting points.
  • Timeframe disclosed: We clearly state the timeframe covered in before/after comparisons.
  • Conditions disclosed: We disclose material changes in circumstances (e.g., "User also hired a publicist during this period").

Expert Endorsements

If we feature endorsements from industry experts, influencers, or professionals:

  • Expertise disclosed: We clearly state the endorser's relevant expertise or position.
  • Relationships disclosed: We disclose any material connection between Anomaly and the endorser (e.g., affiliation, compensation).
  • Experience basis: Expert endorsements are based on actual experience using the Platform.
  • Honest assessment: Experts must provide their honest, unbiased assessment, even if negative.

Social Media Endorsements

For endorsements on social media platforms:

  • Hashtags required: All paid social endorsements include #ad or #sponsored in the post.
  • Clear placement: Disclosures are placed where they're easily visible (not hidden in long caption or comments).
  • Platform compliance: Disclosures comply with each platform's specific guidelines (Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, etc.).
  • No misleading hashtags: We don't use misleading hashtags (e.g., #notanadsbutactuallyadvertisement).

Material Connections

We disclose any material connection between Anomaly and endorsers, including:

  • Financial compensation or payment
  • Free access to premium features
  • Affiliate relationships or revenue sharing
  • Employment or business relationships
  • Family or close personal relationships

Preventing Consumer Confusion

We ensure endorsements and testimonials are not misleading:

  • Clear identification: Endorsements are clearly distinguished from objective content or news.
  • Authentic context: We don't edit testimonials in ways that change their meaning.
  • No misquoting: Any quotes used are accurate and in their proper context.
  • Balancing negative feedback: We don't suppress legitimate criticism or negative user reviews.

Anomaly actively monitors compliance with FTC guidelines:

  • We audit endorsements and testimonials for FTC compliance
  • We train team members on disclosure requirements
  • We respond quickly if we discover non-compliant endorsements
